Servane Mouton

Government & Regulators · Enfants et écrans commission

Co-chaired France's national children-and-screens commission, then wrote a follow-up book calling the situation a public-health disaster.

Servane Mouton co-chaired the French commission on children and screens alongside Amine Benyamina, whose April 2024 report, "Enfants et écrans," set out 29 recommendations including no smartphone before age 13. Mouton followed that work with her own 2025 book, "Écrans, un désastre sanitaire" ("Screens, a health disaster"), extending the commission's findings into a wider public argument. Together, the co-chairs' work represents one of the most thorough government-level examinations of childhood screen use produced in Europe, and it anchors the France entries in this library's government lane alongside the policy debates playing out in Australia, Sweden, and elsewhere.
